Nice place to have a relaxing visit. Some nice eateries and shops. Generally just had a nice feel. Worth the visit.

This is such a pretty area, with diverse vegetation. We were lucky and had a sunny day so the clear water was particularly beautiful.

The gold panning was a lot of fun, never realized the work involved. Came home with a little sliver. It was also interesting to note a scene from Lord of the Rings was shot here.

visited Arrowtown and the river. wasn't much to see but was very scenic and pretty, also quiet quite and a great place for a picnic.

Just a drive away from Queenstown ! Beautiful little town with a huge history ! The town is very quaint with cafes and little eating places ! Loved learning about the gold finds and Chinese migrants !

We visited the chinese settler homes on a Frosty afternoon and the place was amazing - a must visit in winter was like a winter wonderland

great drive from queenstown and great views try the bakery very reasonable price and apple struadle worth a try a lot to see in town and along the river make sure you pan for gold there is still some there

Yes there is a bus that runs between arrowtown and Queenstown there website is connectabus it has the timetables

There are Trout but it may not be a good fishing experience. This is a popular 4WD track up to the historical Macetown. There are often 4WD's crossing the river and with more than 20 crossings undisturbed water might be hard... More
