My young kids just love this place. Their favourites are the Kea bird and the colourful parrots. The show is a lot of fun with birds flying right over your heads. Fun place to spend a morning.

The Kiwi bird park is an interesting spot to spend a couple of hours if you are at all interested in the bird life of New Zealand. It’s located just at the base of the gondola ride so it makes sense to do them together....More

Beautiful park full of beautiful birds. Seeing just the Kiwis was worth it. The bird show was entertaining. This is a great way to give a little back (profits go to conservation) while learning and getting some great photos.

Beautifully laid out Birdlife Park in Queenstown itself. Very friendly and knowledgeable keepers. Definitely visit the Kiwi enclosure itself. Cutest bird ever!!

Although the park is located near the city center, the walk is a little tired because the park is located on a hill (near the Gondola). We spend around an hour and a half only as we had other program. The park was nice and...More

A great place to go for a relaxed afternoon. A must go for tourists who haven’t quite yet encountered a kiwi. I would however suggest one to align their schedule with the events they have going on in the park.

You can see a kiwi, and the reserve is nice though its small size. Also the birds show is very didactic, nice for children.

It was great to see a dumping ground in Queenstown reclaimed and used for such a purpose. Early days for the park, but the work put in to date is fantastic - particularly liked the kiwi bird enclosure and live bird shows were both great....More

Zoo was relaxing and the show was entertaining. Don't expect to get really good looks at Kiwi as the birds are kept in really dark exhibits where it takes ~10 minutes for your eyes to adjust. Cameras are not permitted to take pics of the...More

Hello, We would usually recommend between 1.5 to 2 hours to visit the whole park. The audio tour takes 45- 60 minutes, the Conservation Show runs for 30 minutes and the Kiwi Feed takes 15-20 minutes. Your ticket is a... More

Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately, you will need to purchase your gondola and Kiwi Birdlife Park tickets separately as we no longer offer the Kiwi Kombo. We hope that you are able to visit our Park :)
