While Queenstown is generally done at full pace, Onsen Hot Pools takes a step back to let you take in the beauty of the surroundings and simply relax. With uninterrupted views across the Shotover Canyon, our Cedar Hot Tubs are heated to 37.8C on warmer days and up to 39.8C during the winter and can accommodate up to four adults. Our natural setting is matched by the pure water captured on its endless journey between the sky and earth to continually fill and refresh the pools. With complimentary transport to and from Queenstown, Onsen Hot Pools is relaxation the natural way.

The view really sells this place, it is undoubtably amazing. However, it's a bit of a moneymaking scheme where you pay by number of adults, not for the spa itself. It shouldn't matter if you have one or four people, you're booking a spa out...More

Thus experience was incredible. The entire staff were fantastic, and the facilities first class. The views over the valley were unbelievable. It was a gear way to relax after a busy couple of days in Queenstown.

We booked the 2 hour massage ultimate relaxation package, and although seemed pricey it was so worth it. Sue-Ella was an amazing masseuse! Everything was great from the chocolate/champagne to the tea and chocolates afterwards. And obviously the views from the hot tub!

Private hot tubs. With amazing views. 1 hour was long enough for us. Maybe take your own music. Unless you enjoy the sound of the big block jet boats going up and down the Shotover River. It's not overly loud. But you can definitely hear...More

We reserved a private hot tub to watch the sunset. It was a wonderful and unique experience. Both of us enjoyed it. We would recommend it and would return.

A candle lit evening in a hot tub over looking the Shotover River, valley and mountains was something special and romantic. Be warned though if you purchase wine, chocolate or potato chips the quantity is rather skimpy for the price. Definitely best of all is...More

We booked in for a Saturday afternoon. The staff were lovely and the scenery beautiful. However once we pressed the cold water button, it didn't go off. I had to then get out of the spa to notify staff who then switched the power off...More

Hi Kay K, probably contact them directly, I imagine it would be dependent on when sunsets are at that time of the year. Your visit to the pools will be amazing no matter what time you go!
