Dear TripAdvisor, I'm not one for guided tours, definitely preferring to get off the beaten track and forge my own trail, but goodness I'm glad myself and two best buds booked the Doubtful Sound overnight on a whim. Worth every single penny... and then some. First and foremost, Go Orange is one of the only companies that can go unaccompanied... More

We had signed up for a day out in the kayak to explore Doubtful Sound. Already the trip to get there was wonderful: crossing Lake Manapouri in the dawn. When we got to Doubtful Sound I was really impressed about the equipment: everything to keep us safe and warm was provided, i.e. thermals, fleece, water-proof jacket and then of course... More

A friend and I did the 2 day kayaking on Doubtful Sound and it blew me away. If you're looking for a real adventure away from the crowds and phone signal, you will not be disappointed. Our guide Bailey was wonderful - she was full of knowledge and you could tell she really loves what she does. We paddled for... More

We did a kayaking daytrip in Milford Sound on the 24.03.2017. The Guide was not bad and showed us some nice places around the sound. Unfortunately we did only paddle a very short distance. However, the lunch place was nice and well chosen. Special thanks to the driver from Te Anau who made the trip back from the Sound very... More

Took kayaking trip on the beautiful Milford sound, arrived at Milford and given a very detailed safety briefing prior to starting, given a lot of equipment to keep warm and safe on the trip. Fantastic trip with great views up close with nature, guides were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area we were paddling.

This will be a cherished memory of my trip. I had the pleasure of doing a one day kayak tour in the untouched doubtful sound. More remote (takes a boat+shuttle to get there), greener and longer than Milford, it also has a different vibe to it (maybe less rocky and dramatic, but a lot quieter, diverse and complex). Prepare for... More

One of the great things to do when at Te Anau is to go to Milford Sound. The best thing to do is to kayak at Milford Sound and what better way than to do it with Go Orange! Tim, our guide was professional, caring and funny. He brought us around the Sound and gave us tidbits on the how... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour - despite the rain, the cold and wetness. Our preference has always been a more intimate smaller number tour which is what you get in this. We were picked up at 6:30am in the dark at our accommodation in Te Anau. We received a bit of an introduction to the area as we drove through... More

I did the day out in doubtful sound for $255. 3 hrs of paddling doesn't get you far especially when the guides keep stopping to talk. When you pay nearly $300 I just want to kayak and see as much as possible. The piece of advice they don't give is wear waterproof shoes or sandal. Spent the whole time with... More
