Tower Estate was the last creation of the respected Len Evans, a leading expert on wine who was awarded an AO and an OBE for his service both to winemaking and to charity. Tower Estate represents a destination catering for life's indulgences - the best wine, accommodation and cuisine - based in the Hunter Valley. New Owners Michael & Karen Hope will continue his legacy.

As you walk through the old ironbark doors of the Tower Estate winery, the wine tasting area, with its ambiance of earthy sophistication, opens out before you. Premium fruit is sourced from regions which grow a particular grape variety, reflecting the true regional characteristics in the wine. Wines are kept to a maximum of 1000 cases for each type to ensure the quality remains high.

Tower Estate has been a RED 5 STAR rated winery by James Halliday since 2001. Outstanding winery regularly producing wines of exemplary quality and typicity. Will have at least two wines rated at 94 points or above, and had a five-star rating for the previous two years

Impressive winery and even better when you are greeted by a friendly hostess. We tasted the wines and were impressed at the quality. Found the Shiraz 2014 $45 impressive and of course bought a box of Moscato 2014 for my daughters. Normally I don't like Moscato but this was refreshing and fruity. Can't wait to enjoy the 2014 Shiraz which... More

We were at another winery when we asked where could we find a good Moscato - they said and advised - Tower Estate. So we headed off there. As you approach the estate - you just think - this is stunning. The front doors were breathtaking. We went in. We were greeted by a really lovely young man that asked... More

My partner and I visited this cellar door late in the afternoon. Our charming host Charlie was very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the wine, the growing regions and the Estate. She took her time with us and was informative and friendly. We tried some of the Red wines and they were lovely, each unique and delicious.... More

We came on the 14th of July, which is Bastille day, and we were lucky to speak with Charlie the french hostess. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. She makes time with each visitor. The place is very typical and the wine is beautiful.

We visited Tower on Saturday 9th and had a very enjoyable tasting. Our French hostess (forget her name now-sorry!) was delightful as well as knowledgeable. We've bought Tower wines before, did so on Saturday and will again. Good place with good staff and excellent wine!

Rude lady pushed us for tasting fee and was rushing the tasting. Waited a while to taste. The wine itself wasn't so good either.

On a recent visit to the Hunter Valley - our first trip, we were told to head into this amazing winery. I already knew of it and had the wines plenty before, but never been. Clearly I should have gone when our friends went last year. We were told the staff were amazing, friendly and knowledgable. It looks amazing from... More

This was no. 3 three on a whole day's wine tasting tour. This was definitely the best part of the day. We spent about an hour trying the wines, which were poured into different glasses tastefully set up on a table. We were given lots of background information and allowed to form our own opinion. April was well-informed and engaging.... More

We love that their range of wines are produced from grapes not just from the Hunter but from other regions around Australia. The wines as such have a great variety. Our personal favourites are the Hunter Shiraz, Semillon, Adelaide Hills Chardonay and Tassy Pinot. The staff are lovely and very knowledgeable about both the wines and the heritage of the... More

When you look at a lunch menu and they are offering foie gras you know it's going to be a fab lunch. The wines on offer were great and the food was superb. Go!
