On entering around lunchtime we were asked "have you eaten". The offering was a cheese tasting. Looking around the retail cheese selections we were hounded - do you like this? Do you like that? What do you drink? This goes well with that. Despite giving clear signals that we wanted to be left alone, it never ended. There was a... More

We had a stop here to try some cheese and have a browse. The staff were very friendly and keen to talk about their product if you had questions. We did the tasting, which was great value - $7.50 per person for four decent sized helpings of cheese each. They also asked if we were headed to the Hope Estate... More

The cheese from here is amazing!! We ended up buying way more than originally planned because it was all that good. They offer a wonderful cheese tasting session and cheese making tutorial. The tutorial was a bit of a let down as it only involved seeing some photos. Would have liked a more detailed explanation of how cheese is made... More

The have cut down significantly on the amount of cheese on their cheese tasting platter since my last visit 2 years ago. We really liked the addition of the jam/spread tasting though! The guy working the jam/spread counter is a gem. The Pickle and Lemon Curd Spreads were so good that we had couldn't resist buying a few!

Hi Steven, Thanks for your review and comments, I take these on board and will discuss with my team. Please let me assure you this is not a "get more out of the customer" scheme. There is an industry standard which denotes the amount of cheese on each platter per person. Our company being an artisan cheese factory and is... More

We had a tasting last Sunday The staff were excellent. The tasting was informative and the staff member was spot on with her customer service and knowledge. As a suggestion you could offer a discount off the tasting if purchases are made over a certain value.

Yes I have read a few reviews & have also read that the tastings are expensive. The products sold are quality & I feel that we got value for money as the service was very friendly & the shop was very busy when we were in enjoying the products. Try the green chilli jam and their rhubarb & ginger jam... More

We often bring visitors from interstate to the Hunter Valley for a lovely day out. We were terribly disappointed with the cheese tasting - $7.00+ per person For 4 biscuits with a tiny piece of cheese on each, was in our view a rip off. Would have been better off just buying a couple of pieces of cheese & supplyig... More

Have been several times to the Hunter Cheese Factory and it really hasn't changed at all. Very friendly staff and also knowledgeable about there products, they have a tasting area to try certain items for customers, plenty of parking as it is part of a winery and they have lots to offer within the store. But is is looking out... More

We very much enjoyed our visit to the hunter valley cheese factory. We tried the tasting board and were very impressed with how nice the cheese and presentation were. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was a bother and even though it was close to closing time we were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend!
