The girl on the front desk set the tone for the rest of the visit; miserable. At $28.50 you walk into the park expecting it to be at least half decent , maybe some nice green pastures for the kangaroos and a big enclosure for the cheetahs - no. The conditions are poor. There is nowhere near enough space for... More

visited billabong koala park today. whilst tjhe animals were enjoyable there are several things they need to review and rectify. In the kiosk we were charged $3.50 for a baby chino of which we bought 2. Being a baby chino it was only milk froth in a minute cup.a total ripoff. an adult capucino was $3.80. Cant figure that out.... More

We went because it was mentioned in the Lonely Planet Guide to East Australia. I didn't think I was a 'Zoo' person but I really enjoyed it here. We fed kangaroos, and patted koalas which the family really enjoyed. All the talks were informative and interesting. Animals appeared happy and cared for. There was a cafe with a wide selection... An excellent experience, hand feeding Kangaroos and other animals, patting Koalas and learning about reptiles. When visiting Port Macquarie, this is a must see.

Visited Billabong Zoo today with my 11month old. Whilst he couldn't really understand it's a great Zoo for small children to get close and interact with the animals especially the Kangaroos and the Koalas during the koala talks. Food is very expensive so would definitely recommend taking your lunch with you if you plan to be there at that time.... More

A good place to stop for photos when driving along the coastal road. Some interesting history associated with the original lighthouse keepers

Very pleasant leisurely afternoon spent wondering around, patting animals and listening to the zoo keepers talks.. Animals are well looked after, entry fees on the high side, but I assume it goes to support the animals' well being.

Had a lovely day out with our two children. The talks were frequent and informative. There were several staff members walking around with various animals and my son was excited to touch a dingo and snake. The enclosures and grounds were clean and well maintained. I do wish that certain enclosures were larger, for instance the big cats, but the... More

The kids loved the variety of aminals and displays. The trial is a little tricky in parts but the map is easy to follow. The staff were engaging and knowledgable. The entry price was a little high compared to other zoos.

Stopped off on the way to South West Rocks easy access off the freeway and a great place to visit. Wonderful walk through the Wildlife park was very relaxing with plenty of talks on the exhibits every half hour. They have a fantastic cafe serving all types of food from burgers through to sandwiches and wraps cakes and scone. The... More
