This is a wonderful view. Then go down to Shelly beach to find out all about Harry Thompson. Take a walk along the sand at low tide.

We walked from Port Macquarie to the Lighthouse and discovered lots of beautiful coves along the way... a very long walk (nearly 10 miles) but worth it for the stunning photographs and experience

Every Time we're in Port we walk the coastline, it's relatively easy and beautiful. I find the locals very friendly

A beautiful walk, amazing views - whatever time of day - a bit tricky with a pram though! Steps, narrow and steep sections.

This is a nice walk with great views and plenty of steps. It wraps around the coast and drops you into little sandy coves.

Lovely Coastal walk. You can even see whales at the right time of year. Walk one kilometre or ten, you will enjoy it.

Started the walk at Town Beach & finished 3 1/2 hrs later at Lighthouse Beach, left a car at each end. Absolutley beautiful views & a pristine coastline. Saw a pod of about 20 dolphins along the way. Varying degrees of walking conditions; some steep...More

We walk all over Port Macquarie when we visit each year. The coastal walk is our favourite. There are some steps involved with one area in particular being quite steep. Overall though it is easy with beautiful views across the ocean. Lots of eateries along...More

We walked from the town along the river and around the beaches to Flynn’s beach . Wide ocean views and dolphins in the river. It’s an easy walk with some hills and stairs but the views are worth the walk. Bush regeneration walk was good...More

My husband and I walked the coastal walk whilst visiting for a weekend. Beautiful views and reasonably easy walk. Would recommend joggers as you are off the path a little. Lots of places to stop along the way for a swim or drink.

It starts in the centre of Port Macquarie (Westport near Settlement City) and finishes up at Tacking Point. There are a number of sections so you don't need to do it all at once. It's a good idea to take water with you as... More

It depends on which way you walk. If you walk in to town from Lighthouse Beach there is a bus that goes to the lighthouse area. I'm not sure how often the bus runs though as it is a private bus service and may be infrequent... More
