Good food. Slow service (waited 15 min to tea and toast ?!) . Fascinating shop. Educational Film. Wonderful 1 hour boardwalk (extra charge) suspended above the ground with signposts and fascinating plant and bird life.

Port Macquarie is a great place for beaches - but when the sun is not shining, it is a struggle to find things to do. We took a chance on visiting the centre to walk along the boardwalk (about 1.3km) to see the forest in its natural state and learn a bit about the trees that grow in this area.... More

This is a very easy and accessible boardwalk through the rainforest. Stunning flora and plenty of birds. Keep quiet you may see wallabies.

Visited here with friends, had a guided tour with a very professional and informed guide, Janet. Very relaxing and unhurried. Lovely sandwiches for lunch too!

Beautiful and easily accessible walk. Beautiful walking around the boardwalk in amongst the different trees. Very well signposted with information about the trees if you wish to read them. Worth the walk. Be sure to pack aeroguard (mozzie repellent), the mozzies love it particularly after the rain

After visiting this place many years ago with my small children, I thought a return visit would be worth while. A lovely 1.5 km walk on a elevated boardwalk through a typical Australian rainforest. This is a place you don't rush through ( many did) , we look our time and discovered many natural delight. Native birds, lizards and many... More

Entry is via the National Parks shop and pay there. It is a lovely walk and very easy to see a many different aspects of the rainforest, birds and occasional lizard. It is best to go on a fine day; wet weather may not be pleasant. Note that the carpark has a relatively early time for closure.

A great spot for tourists to visit. It contains some wonderful gifts in the shop including great aboriginal artifacts. There is a tranquil walk you may have as well as a cafe with delicious food.

This is a great place to visit to see what the coast would have been like before development and logging. The forest was donated to the National Parks by the previous owner to save it from certain development and destruction. It has a great cafe well worth trying. There is a boardwalk worth viewing with guided walks offered by knowledgeable... More
