Thoroughly enjoyed this place - super cheap entry and a collection that spans the history of country music in Australia. Beautifully arranged with loads of personal memorabilia, stage outfits, instruments and graphics. Loads of interesting short videos narrated by John Laws no less! I thought I would just go in for a quick browse but we were there for ages!... More

If you are a country music fan or even an Australian music history buff then you will find the ACMF is the place for you. The museum displays many artifects and outfits from our pioneering entertainers right up to the current stars and you can spend many hours looking through.

We thoroughly enjoyed this informative exhibition. It was well displayed in glass windows with audio where required and film clips of old and new artists. The museum is an added bonus and well run by a team of dedicated volunteers. Very enjoyable and a must do on your visit to Tamworth.

The static displays here are quite well set out but unless you are a country music fan you may not know many of them. Apparently they have an enormous amount of material that they cannot display due to the small area they have at the moment. The other displays that take you on a walk through a type of time... More

Didn't actually visit this place. They don't take eftpos & we only had $10 cash on us. Needed $14 to enter. The guy on the door was very blunt & just said "cash only" then completely ignored us. We didn't bother going back.

Due to the high charges of EFTPOS we unfortunately are not able to offer this service (like a number of other places). I am sure that you would have been told politely that we did not have this facility and if you did not have the cash then that is your concern. No one else has had any problem with... More

Found this place a little expensive to see 10 waxworks figurines. It's $10 to go in and as I am not really a fan of Country music I found that I didn't know most of the figurines. You can combine entry to the Don Bradman Museum for an extra $5 (Total $15 for both) but this place is nothing more... More

This review is about the wax museum at the Big Golden Guitar. It has nothing to do with the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame museum. They are two entirely separate business located in different parts of Tamworth More

We were told at the Tourist information centre that the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame has just reopened after being closed for some time and is now located in the old Tourist Centre. We enjoyed our walk through the various displays, we were told that the opening display area will be changed regularly, this was a large open area... More

A good place to start your country music experience in Tamworth. We enjoyed comparing our hand sizes with the stars. This small display is easy to find in town, parking is metered nearby, check signage.
