We went for the drive and stopped at Stanwell Tops, Bald Hill lookout. The views are amazing. It's a heaven for any photographer, be an amateur or a pro :). The Sea Cliff bridge is nice, I would say unique of its kind. There are a few beaches where one can spend time. The way through the Royal National Park... More

We lived until recently at the northern end of this modern bride with magnificent views, and walked this bridge for exercise each morning. We have seen 2 baby penguins playing in the water direstly below as well as several seals, sting rays, and of course many dolphins. Whales come by every year going north to warmer waters and returning later... More

The Grand Pacific Drive is worth the time and effort as a great alternate route down to the Illawarra from Sydney. It will add about 30 minutes to your travel time but worth it as you will get to see the coast up close, very close.

A bonus for the road trip is to drive over the sea cliff bridge and through the national park to avoid the highway but also escape the rush of people who are in a hurry!

We decided to go for a bit of a look around out of Sydney. Followed the route from the National Park onwards. Views of bushland, towering trees, rivers and the beautiful ocean.

We were passing through from Sydney to Wollongong, it's a beautiful drive, pity that we couldn't stop as it was holiday season and it was so busy, with two little one i wouldn't risk pull over the side of the road. But in off season i would recommend to stop over and enjoy the scenery.
