Nan Tien is very different from most tourist attractions because there is so much to offer: the visual delights of grandeur architecture, art & culture including unique exhibitions & festivals, Buddhist festivals, vegetarian culinary delights, educational & healthy life style classes & retreats, accommodation, top class conference and auditorium facilities as well as beautiful gardens & walks. There is also the spiritual and religious experience that is unforgettable and even life changing for some.

My partner and I often visit Nan Tien Temple, to walk around the grounds and to enjoy a vegetarian lunch in the down stairs eating facility. The food is very nice. Prices quite reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is broad enough to make it interesting. Seating is on wooden bench seats either side of timber tables.... More

This is a fascinating place to visit, a tranquil atmosphere and a step into a different world. I would recommend eating in the cafeteria very healthy vegetarian food. Just soak up the culture by walking around the grounds it's an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the modern world.

A lovely oasis in the middle of Wollongong, even if you are not a Buddhist. The grounds are lovely to stroll around. Each temple is unique and colourful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The vegetarian lunch is also quite good and value for money.

This place is so pretty and the staff are lovely. I would not eat here on the weekend its too busy. This place is pretty big so give yourself enough time to see it.

This is a large complex so give yourself some time to have a look around. The building and grounds are modern but have tried to capture classic Chinese style. There are lots of interesting areas and items but the overall feeling is of calmness.

The temple was well maintained. My partner could say a quick prayer in silence which was good. However, we were looking forward to the exclaimed vegetarian food. We were sorely disappointed. To pay $12 for a plate of rice, cabbage, tofu and fried apple was a mere disappointment. As asians, we have tasted much better food outside or back home.... More
