First off, the experience was great (positive review from paragraph 3 onwards) but I do have some negative feelings towards it but this is more geared towards the visitors, but could be improved with changes to the way the experience is delivered. The first issue...More

We were in group 3 and were taken down to the beach at 8.30 to see hatchlings digging their way out and then make their way down to the water. An amazing experience and very informative. From 156 eggs there were 128 live hatchlings. Would...More

Being able to see the turtles hatching was a wonderful experience, and I thought this activity was very well priced too. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. One small downside was the (large-ish) group size, it did make it a bit hard...More

We had been before to see the Mum turtles laying their eggs but the hatching of the baby turtles was magical, we couldn’t recommend it highly enough for the big and little kids alike, we were in awe of these tiny creatures and the staff...More

Several hundred people had been allowed to book and were subsequently divided into five groups. After a two and a half hour wait in stifling temperatures with no fans, we were told to queue for the beach walk. Our group had 90 in it and...More

We didn't realize that reservations were required but we went anyway and were able to get on with a group. There were only 3 groups that evening of about 50 people each. It certainly doesn't feel like that many as the centre easily accommodates everyone....More

If you're planning on booking this visit, read this review first. We just got back from the nightly turtle encounter and are extremely sad and upset about what's going on there. You will be surrounded by hundreds (literally) of tourists. In our case there were...More

We had booked about a month in advance for hatching season and were very well rewarded. The night time viewing does have limited numbers.

They start on 7 and if you are not there in time if you are the first group you may be missed, when I was there people were arriving later on etc, but I would try and be there as close to 7 as possible.

Sorry you have to book via their offices in Bundaberg. It says you can book online but we couldn't get it to work. Great event though you'll love it good luck with turtle arrival times.
