The small hut on the side of the beach has had some world famous surfers enjoy the shade. There is a monument to the surfing history and pledge to protect and preserve the legacy of the beach here, and along the seashores

Close to motels, airport, transport and eating houses. A nice evening locale to end our latest Oz trip before flying out the next morning. Even saw whales out in the tide.

Kirra Beach is very similar to all the other beaches along the coast with wide white sand stretched and gently rolling surf.

If the locals say just 5 minutes up the road walking. Then it's about 15 - 20 minutes lol. Nothing to far. Recommend getting a car. But a lot of places offer the courtesy bus

If you are not heading to Kirra anytime soon, try and find the surf cam for the area or google street view on your search engine. This might give you an idea of what's on offer in the area. From memory, the Kirra lookout... More
