Lovely walk in certain parts, other parts rather not interesting. Nice opportunity to spend a day. We got lost after the Botanical Gardens. Helpful locals got us back on track.

Great place to walk or ride a bike alongside the river. A fabulous facility to easily get around and enjoy the outdoors.

We just love walking the bluewater trail as there is a variety of things to see along the way. Make sure you have some change in your pocket to take advantage of the many coffee shops along the way....always a good excuse for a rest!!

My 13 y/o daughter and I rode the bluewater trail from our accommodation (Potters Oceanside Motel) to Botanic Gardens. It was Jan17 so it was hot and humid. The ride was easy and was mainly on dedicated bike/walking path. It was flat and easy to ride. I live near Olympic Park in Sydney and often ride around there. This ride... More

This trail seems to go forever and ever through some very scenic areas. It is very pleasurable to stroll or run and offers some lovely little spots to stop along the way if a break is needed.

On a recent overnight stay in Mackay, we visited the Bluewater Quay precinct. It does have a café overlooking the river, but on the afternoon we visited, for some reason it was closed, which was a little disappointing. There is an interesting propeller sculpture in the Quay area, plus some good water vistas from the deck overlooking the river. It... More

Rather ordinary walk, (good for Mackay...but for someone from somewhere with lots of parks...its rather plain) Some facilities there, and reasonably well managed.,..
