Great park in Launceston with historical statues, duck pond, play equipment for the kids, monkey enclosure, cafe, train rides around the park, a conservatory and a wonderful Community Radio Station tour. Lots to do!

Every town needs a city park and this one is well maintained and quite large and sits on the edge of town. It even has a monkey display which is interesting although strolling through the park is more interesting.

This park is an oasis in the middle of town. There are beautiful trees and gardens, playgrounds and grassed areas. The highlight of the visit for me was the monkey enclosure. It was wonderful to watch them at play.

The biggest surprise was the snow monkey enclosure! The green house has a lovely display which apparently changes. There are different areas which are lovely. Interesting statues. Pond needs a good clean. Park is worth a visit especially if you ahve children
