My last day in Australia before heading home. I spent a good four hours at the wildlife park. The caregiver's were very knowledgeable and I learned quite a bit from them. My highlight was donating money to the park and getting to hold a beautiful wombat named Billie and of course petting the kangaroos and learning about the dingos. Actually,... More

It was a very interesting place with plenty to see and interact with. It's best to go early to avoid crowding around the animals of interest. A great day for people of all ages. The only thing that needs improving is to have a lot direction signage. There were 4 of us trying to work out the map with confusion,that... More

We thought the entry cost for this attraction a little expensive for what it had to offer. Nice to see the animals and the keepers were very informative.

We spent 4 hours looking around the park with a couple of 7 year olds and a 9 year old. Good picnic area (if you get one in the shade like we did). Lovely to sit and have picnic lunch and kids tear around. The attractions was good, though I feel sorry for Crunch the croc in his pool. The... More

We got there when the park opened at 9am. Perfect timing as all the kangaroos came up from the bottom of the park to get some pellets from us. They weren't pushy or fighting over being feed and very friendly to pat, but the will try to steal your bag of pellets if you keep it too low. Even the... More

Seeing the Aussie animals was fun for foreigners but concerned about the limited facilities for the birds. Wedge tailed eagle in confined space. Would have been better for kookaburras or their cockatoos. Reptiles were mainly foreign. Disappointed.

Hi there, Thanks for the visiting the park, we are sorry to hear you were disappointed. Many of our animals, including our birds have been injured and rescued from the wild, others have been pets and have been donated to us, zoo collections also include animals that have been seized either from private collections or from illegal smuggling as well... We had and enjoyable experience at Ballarat Wildlife Park. Patrick and friends are nocturnal and therefore plan your trip around 'Wombat time". Loved the Kangaroo greeting committee!

Thank you for taking the time to review the Park and for visiting. Yes we do not like to disturb Patrick when he is asleep. Did you know he turned 31 last August? Our Kangaroos certainly do love to greet our guests and are all very friendly. See you again soon. Best regards More
