We did the 75 minute underground tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very informative and the kids loved looking for gold in the walls. Our guide was very good and spoke very well. He really talked up the pasties or "Tiddly Oggy's" that the miner's used to eat in the mines and is now sold in there cafe. My... More

We went on the 75min tour - plenty to see and feel underground, and spent just as long exploring on the surface. The tour guide gave a rave review of the pasties - and we are so glad she did because they were delicious, and warming on a very cold day.

Fantastic place to visit. It makes a better understanding of how life was in these days during the gold rush. Travelling through the region makes the mine a great place to see. The visit is interesting and fun. Definitively a must in Bendigo.

Took interstate visitors to mine, they were amazed at the wealth of knowledge by all employed on the tour - a great experience, one they said they'd never forget. Fantastic history. The souvenir shop is so well stocked with a great variety of goods to choose from, quality not just junk. Refreshments available, short videos to view, sit and relax.

We had limited time so tried to pack in as much as we could. This trip below the surface was an excellent way to learn about the history of Bendigo - its people, the hardships and the joys of gold discovery! We took the 75 minute tour and found the time passed very quickly as we were always on the... More

Totally recommendable. We were amazed to learn the way gold mining evolved and what the miners went through. The guide was very knowledgeable. Situated in the centre of town with 3 different types of tours available. Excellent free parking available.
