Even on a gray day you should make all the stops along Great Ocean Road as the road itself is uninspirering. All stops are beautiful, with good parking and easy access.

The ruggedness of this part of our coastline needs to be seen to be appreciated. As well as the great history behind the various shipwrecks in the area makes this a most enjoyable trip. Being a local I have seen this coastline change over the...More

If you have a rental car then do this. Its nature at its best. We were here at sunset and no crowds as tour busses dont go this far. Definitely worth the stop!

Title says it all. Sights are better in my opinion and there is no crowd, at least in the winter. For me this was the best or second best stop along the great ocean road to look at natural history. Definitely go here.

If you travel by Great ocean road just visit it. To get the best pictures try to do it before the evening. Sunset will be towards the ocean.

This part of the coast is just spectacular, and despite it raining whilst we were visiting it was still excellent viewing. The roughness of the waves made it even more spectacular.

The sandstone coast line is spectacular and visited by both Australian and overseas visitors. There are many highlights along the coast - Bay of Islands, Loch Ard Gorge, 12 Apostles, London Bridge, The Grotto and many other sights.

If time is not an issue, I would suggest similar to what we did, and that is, if travelling from Melbourne, schedule your GOR trip so that you reach Apollo Bay late afternoon and plan an overnight stop there at one of the... More

I would pack a Rain Coat as early September , there is the usual spring rain, and it may be windy and chilly so a warm jacket would be needed
