Happy trip, I came with my mother, we stayed here for 6 days, took part in snorkeling in the Kaani!, watched the wreckship, swam with sharks and turtles, and nightfish. My mother was not very good at swimming, and she was old and could not speak English. At the beginning, I was very worried. The Kaani snorkeling guide was very patient and professional. They not only taught her snorkeling, but also helped her took a picture with sharks, my mother was very satisfied. I was also very happy. Fishing at night can enjoy the sunset on the sea. It's very beautiful. I've never fished before. Under the guidance of the guide, I caught a very big fish. I was very happy. On the day of snorkeling, there was a girl's birthday. Everyone sang a birthday song together. The guide of the kanni was very good. Please choose Kaany!kaany!Kaany! kaany's manager of excursions abbo ,A Handsome men with Long hair, very good person ,helped me a lot~Please choose abbo!abbo!abbo!

We stayed on the island of Maafushi at the Kaani Village and Kaani Palm Beach hotels from March 9 to 17 & made the full day excursion proposed by Kaani Tours for the very reasonable price of 30$ /person. We discovered the wonderful landscapes of the Maldives, swam with sea turtles, watched dolphins and ate on one of the paradisiacal sandbanks.

The excursion was really enjoyable, Kaani Tours' staff is absolutely charming and attentive. All along the trip, a great atmosphere with music on the boat and souvenir photos underwater, for free available from the evening. All the necessary equipment is provided with flippers, snorkeling mask, snorkel, towels, water bottles and meals included. The guides accompany each guest with a lot of expertise and in a good mood! I really recommend their excursions! Special thanks to Raaju for his help and take care. ️ Can't wait to come back!

We did 3 different excursions with Kaani Tours and loved all of them.
They really do everything to make you happy, make sure that you feel safe, the equipment is in perfect conditions; they take good pictures of you (included in the price), and bring umbrellas and the lunch to the sandbank.
Couldn’t be more satisfied!! Thank you to everyone in the boat, you made your holidays so perfect!

When all other tour operators cancelled their Shipwreck tour due to expected bad weather next day, Kaani tours assured us that they have big boats and they can safely manage through the weather.

On the morning of tour, in spite of cloudy weather they decided to go ahead with the tour. Unfortunately after an hour of very bumpy ride through the sea and another hour waiting at Fulidhio Island in rain, the tour was cancelled and the day was wasted.

The desk staff is rude and manager (Dhanora) has no regard for guest concerns.

Since we also used service of other tour operators I can share a relative comparison...
Kaani tours have much less personalized service, their tour guides are just doing their jobs, no passion no excitement. Moreover their equipment is universal size, and quiet old & worn out. I received a cracked snorkel, luckily I checked. There is no way anyone could have snorkeled using that at sea!

They have maximum number of hotel rooms at Maafushi and hence gets maximum number of inhouse tourists on their tours but they take that for granted and don't put any effort in maintaining their quality, which is why they are the worst of the lot.

On other hand at iCom tours, the group size was small, we got personalized service, they gave snorkel masks & fins after checking for fitment to every individual. Their equipment was new and in good condition. The towels were also new. The staff (Chanko and Estela) were full of energy and enthusiasm. We had a great time with them! They are the best of the lot at Maafushi....

I do recommend to take an alternative tour operator. As much as I want to give a good review for the experience, their staff behaviors cancelled everything. I went there with a friend and the boat was full of foreigners. We reach the shark points and the crew started cursing the tourists not knowing I was a local. Cursing with derogatory, racist and undermining the same people who paid. I did confront them on the boat and their response was they do that because the guests aren’t following their directions. Imagine throwing the guests into a shark pit and when they’re afraid, the crew started cursing them. Guests even panicked and lost their mind seeing the sharks. They cursed me and my friend too. Such a sad thing to see considering the hotel has been operating for years and I assume this must’ve been going on for years as well.

Our GRO Sodir checked us in to the hotel, briefed us about hotel facility and recommended us their tour. We decided for The Real Break tour which takes us to see Sting ray, snorkeling, and Ship wreck, and sand bank lunch at last.

The boat is a transportation boat which is not suitable for snorkeling trip. The boat claims to have 45PAX capacity, and we had over 30 guests onboard. But bear in mind we all have our gear such as life jackets, fins, snorkel, masks, towels. Which makes the boat extremely crowded.

Especially when you come back from snorkeling with all wet condition, it is very comfortable to squeeze in between each other. Social distance?? That is just a joke. (No one wear masks on board FYI)

When we reach sandbank for lunch, one of the staff is taking care of Drone photo shooting for guest, for extra charge of course. I brought my own drone, and did not need his service. When I started to walk towards one corner of the sandbank, he shouted at me and did not allow me to go that side.

He claims that he is still shooting for his customer and I can only go there after all his guests finish's video shooting. But I noticed the drone is still in his hand. I explained I only need 1 minute to take some photo without any person in the scene, he continuously ignored what I was saying and aggressively asking me to leave.

It seems he owns this piece of this sandbank and only the guest who paid for the service gets priority.

Over all, Kaani Tours, or tours offered from Kaani hotels, having good offer especially at last minute, but do not expect too much on tour service, except you don't mind squeeze with other people.

We booked the tour, the staff from the hotel introduced us to "the local fisherman" who assured us we would be catching Marlins (lol) or at least a big fish. The next morning the hotel staff handed us over to 2 random men on an enclosed ferryboat, the local fisherman nowhere to be seen, barely any communication. One of them smoked incessantly, and the other had no clue about anything. The rods and lines were horrible and in no way could be used for big game fishing. We caught a bunch of baby Tuna and the crew members looked at us like we were supposed to be proud or something. Expressed our disappointment to the hotel, no refund was offered. It was a horrible experience. Moreover, the hotel quoted 500 USD, but charged us 600 USD. Thats almost the same price as doing the trip with a luxury resort on yatch, an experienced crew with professional equipment, and a breakfast buffet on board. We have been big game fishing twice before in the Maldives so there was no way the hotel could talk themselves out of it. Absolutely disgusting, and I hope karma gets them good.

Kaani Tours staff is very professional and friendly and specially local manager who is always ready to help. They are very open and kind so you know what to expect from every tour.

We have made 3 trips with them and if we are back for sure will use their service again. We saw whale shark, turtles, nurce sharks, manta, dolphins and many colorfull fishes. For all trips they are providing for free towels, fins, snorkels, masks and lunch. During the whole trip they are making photos and videos which after that are shares with all guests for free, so we get some very nice shots :)

Money wise - I think it is a good bargain. Recommended!

Started off the week of excursions with the best most friendly, enthusiastic tour guides, Alba, Aimaan and Captain Kama. Make sure you ask the hotel staff for them, they really make you feel safe and also take great photos and videos. The best tour of all will definitely be the real break but the others are great too!! Side note, there is no variety of excursion lunch, it was the same every trip, it’s good but you get bored of it.
