Mammoth is an impressive, gothic-like cave that could easily be described as the perfect home for a caveman. Tours are self-guided with an audio headset and begin via an elevated boardwalk through towering Karri forest. As you journey through the spectacular formations lookout for the carefully lit animal bones and fossils and listen to the stories about extinct animals. Wildflowers are abundant around the precinct from September to November. Located 22km south of Margaret River.

Beautiful and very spacious!

For those who think that caves are narrow and claustrophobic, this is the one to visit! Very spacious, beautiful and well maintained. All the paths are safe and it's easy to walk.

This cave is massive. It's a self guided tour with a recorded tape you listen to. Really interesting, great to do on a rainy day.

Such a fun and interesting walk. With a self guided tour youre not rushed on the walk. Just ensure to wear closed in shoes and be prepared for the 160 steps up to the top.

This was a fabulous experience. The hand held technology meant you could explore at your own pace. Stunning, cave and information but be warned its a hell of a steep climb out the 170 steps!

Very pretty. All the caves are so different and the tours are very informative. Worth a look, make sure you wear closed in shoes though.

A good look at the way the area has evolved over the centuries. Great formations in the cave. Well laid out in regard to the walkways. Would highly recommend.

This Cave is amazing. I loved being able to go at my own pace with the headset. It's surrounded by trees and beautiful bushland. A great way to spend an hour.

This was the first of our cave tours. It is not necessary to make bookings however if you go during the busy times it may be advisable to book. You can listen to the commentary as you walk around on your own personal headphone. It was great. All of the other 3 caves should be booked during the busy times....and... More
