This road leads to Surfer's Point, which is one of the most scenic view that you will get along the coast of Margaret River region overlooking the Indian Ocean. Go to the Margaret River tourism website for more information. The name of the travel route should be called the Self-Drive Coastal Route or something like that.

The drive from Yallingup to Augusta is a must do, particularly if you take the time to see the sights on the way, it is a reasonably well maintained road, although not a highway and if you encounter a caravan or large truck it can be frustrating as the speed limit max is 90kmh and down to 70 in a... You could never get sick of driving Caves Road! Well, maybe you would if you are a local and in a hurry to get somewhere. There are no passing lanes but plenty of opportunities to move off the road if you want to travel slowly. The road is so scenic as it winds through karri forests, vineyards and farmlands. And... We drove from Margaret River to Leeuwin Lighthouse on one day then to Busselton on another day. Highly recommended.

Caves Road is something to behold in itself. This road takes you to the different caves in the Margaret River Region. If you're a nature lover, you'll get to see the local plant life of Western Australia.

You are never far from the ocean. Drop in to Canal Rocks, it's worth the drive. As the name suggests, also drop into at least one of the caves. Take a dip in the protected waters at Gnarabup.

The main road to get around Margaret River. This is a very pleasant drive particularly the lower part around the Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park where you are treated to some wonderful forest scenery. This road really is the gateway to a large number of both natural attractions and wineries/food tastings.
