Great way to get to the top of the hill to see the views over Wanganui. Has been around for many years. Must be handy for residents too

Well, at first we didn't find it - and took the bicycles to ride up the hill, but on the way down. Nice view from top.

We enjoyed our tunnel walk and lift to the top of Jurie hill..the view of Whanganui was magnificent. Well worth doing if visiting this wee city.

Amazing views from the top of whanganui and the river. This lift is historic and very different. Cheap to take the lift one way and walk the other. Definitely worth doing.

It really doesn't offer much entertainment at all. The old rickety lift and history behind it all was interesting but really not worth spending the time or money, even though it is cheap it would've been better spent on a coffee in one hand while...More

Great fun going to the top of the hill in the lift then walking down all the stairs. A really nice view of whanganui at the top.
