What a pleasure watching the creations from glass happen in front of you. Great access for disabled people and it meant I got to see everything. It is hot so don't wear to much :)

The glass kilns are being renovated. Will be back in operation very soon. In the meantime they have a small gallery open and very fine pieces available to buy. Bit too expensive for this pensioner but if I won Lotto.......

The guys at Chronicle Glass know their stuff and love sharing their knowledge. I ended up with a great looking paper weight! Its a must visit if you're staying in Wanganui for a few days.

Great way to spend a morning or afternoon. We became entranced and stayed to watch the glassblowing for a couple of hours. This is a working studio with a lovely display area of glass items for sale , some seriously collectable. Recommend it to take well behaved children. They love it

Went with family and once by myself, enjoyed watching the men glass blowing a vase, took skill, getting to the end shame the vase cracked.

Chronicle Glass has become an institution on the Whanganui visitor scene. I hear changes are in the wind, but hopefully the attraction will still continue to showcase the best in NZ glass, and allow visitors to watch as some amazing artworks are created

If you are interested in glass-work creation - or have never seen glass art being produced, then this is the place to see! There is a lovely upstairs viewing platform (complete with seats) from which you can view the artists below 'doing their thing'. It's fascinating to see the glass being initially shaped and worked upon with colours and patterns... More

Love going to Chronicle Glass when I want to buy that very special gift. I have never been disappointed. Just love the place and it is extra special when you catch them at work blowing glass or giving tuition I go there lots of times not just the date selected.

We pop in for a look at what's going on here 2 or 3 times a year and are never disappointed. Entry is free, just walk in off the street (where there is plenty of parking), and watch what the glass artists are doing. Often they give a running commentary on what they're doing as they are doing it and... More
