Part of the Hatea Loop Walk lots of good historical information and the sculptures like the Waka'n'Wave that punctuate the walk are brilliant. A must do if in Whangarei. a real highlight

This is an awesome sculpture for all ages and the kids love to climb over it. Young adults love to climb it to for the view and to take photos. Great spot

We loved our walk on the marina. It is very well presented but this sculpture was a standout. This is a top sculpture. very creative and usable by children. One of the best sculptures ever!!!

Thus sculpture is on the town basin walk. There are many interesting facts and sculptures to see on this walk which does a circuit around the town basin and over the bridge. So beautiful and relaxing.

I like the inspiring idea of this scuplture, and the emphasis on the maori heritage, but the concrete parts ruin it and make it looks like debris mixed with art. Much better sculpures if you walk along the Hatea Loop
