To see the sea on one side, farm land hills on the other side, and snow cap mountains in the distance. The scene is like the most wonderful place I ever visited in the dream.

We embarked on this journey following one of the maps we got given with the track marked out for us. It had stunning views and was a really nice walk! But we ended up getting confused with the map and didn't see any signs pointing...More

lo consiglio al tramonto, trasmette una serenità indescrivibile. I advice to have this walk on sunset, it gives you a peacefulness that I cant describe

A reasonably steep ascent but easily manageable for anyone who has walking fitness. At the top you get amazing views across the Pacific Ocean and a track along the top takes you to various observation points. The exposed reef areas below make for spectacular viewing...More

Great scenery, well maintained, follows the coast line and can walk past seal colonies or look down from the heights on seals and sea/sea life. Good history well sign posted. Just don't step on the seals! Can just go for a quick stroll from car...More

It was a great walk along the rim with some great views. We first wanted to walk back along the shore, but due to a breedeing bird colony which we did not want to disturbe, we went back the same way

This was an awesome spot to get up close with seals in their natural habitat. And unlike most things in New Zealand it's totally free! So many seals just hanging out!

Easy to navigate, lovely walk in grey or shine - driving rain might make it a bit miserable mind, as it's very exposed. Loop walk even easier now the shore has shifted - you can return along the beach (watch for seals) in any tide.

The walk allows you to get down to the foreshore and see the seals in their own environment. A great walk for families

Hi, I think at this moment you cannot drive the coast road from Blendheim to Kaikoura. You need to drive inside the south Island and drive back to Kaikoura. The walk is free. It take about 3h, depend how far you walk... More

You've probably already been and found out for yourself that most of the track (apart from a side track descending to the beach at Whaler's Cove) is fine with a pram, so I'm answering for other people who might read this... More
