My worst fishing charter experience so far. The skipper never stopped bad words, in front of the school kids. There were a few overseas guests on board who could not speak... read more

We went on an afternoon fishing trip with... experienced ..."FFishermen". on the Takapu. .The boat was large and we had a good amount of space to fish between the 4 of us...It was a beautiful sunny afternoon.. we were joined by numerous large sea birds and an albatross...the views from the ocean towards the mountains amazing...We were shown how to... As per previous reviews, do not go on a charter with this business, incorrect booking times, overbooked, wrong duration of booked charter before you even get on the boat. Incredibly rude, unprofessional, inconsiderate, and threatening behaviour. Crew were hungover, and as others have described, carried on swearing, throwing tantrums and generally making you feel like you do not want to... More

The most terrible experience ever! We are group of 5 hongkongers based in Christchurch and we spent this Saturday in Kaikoura expecting a day out with this company would give us an enjoyable ametur fishing experience plus some freshly caught fish/lobster for our dinner. Unfortunately our day started badly with our car's bettary got flatted. Credit should be given to... More

My worst fishing charter experience so far. The skipper never stopped bad words, in front of the school kids. There were a few overseas guests on board who could not speak English, the skipper was really rude to them. Anyone got tangled fishing lines, the skipper got angry and threw the jigs on floor with again many bad words, scared... More

We had a great trip. Caught heaps of perch and ended up with enough fillets to feed 10 with a few dollars of chips from the local fish and chip shop. Seeing all the crayfish come up in the pots was amazing and they tasted even better. Thanks to the skipper Adam, deckhand Aaron and owner Eoin. Well done guys.... More

Maybe they're good fishermen, they found a spot with plenty red and blue cod but their attitude toward people was shocking. Horrible communication. Insulting - as they talked between themselves about their paying guests as if we were all deaf. It felt like a factory. No sense of enjoyment anywhere on this boat. Chain smoking the entire trip didn't help... More

Best fishing day EVER for our family. We loved everything. We caught so many fish it was incredible. They had electric rods which were very helpful for my eight year old son. This day was his birthday gift and it lived up to all of his expectations. For those that complained about the captain -- I say get over it....live... More

Went fishing with these folks and had a great time. Booked a morning trip and within 2 hours had all the fish I wanted and a limit of crayfish (delicious spiny lobster). They were real pros. Those crayfish are about $100 each at restaurants and I paid just over that for the whole trip. A fun time and great deal.

Well equipped, the electric reels made winding up fish from 170 metres down much easier than using hand cranked ones. Spectacular views back to shore, lots of sea birds including albatrosses looking for a feed. Plenty of fish and crayfish, had to give half away.

My husband did the tour and he told me to tell everybody how awesome his trip was. He catched a lot of fish, it was a beautiful morning, the crue were cool fishing guys and he saw a lot of wildlife. And I could enjoy the fish he brought at home.
