OH MY GOD

What an amazing shop... i was like a kid in a candy store. Its a cross between an art gallery and a shop with only some things forsale or by negotiation. Love it.

Fantastic little gallery, packed full of quirky and unusual pieces. It took us a long time to look around because there are so many little treasures hidden away in the big picture. The space is well used and compliments the art perfectly, it is really a must if you are in Oamaru. Just wish I could have shipped it all... More

Due to reading so much about this artist I must say I was a bit under whelmed by the displays and general presentation in this gallery. Although very artistic and talented it just seemed to be a bit dusty and musty, a bit unloved and a little dismal.

I am really sorry your experience was underwhelming. I do find it very difficult to both stock and administer such a large space in such a rustic old building (which literally rains dust every time the wind blows!) I can assure you the space is very loved indeed and feel sad that you used the word dismal to describe it... More

This is one of the most beautiful and imaginative spaces you will ever experience. Artist Donna Demente is the talented person behind this magical gallery and shop which features stunning examples of her work, along with a number of other artists from the Otago area. So much to see and wonder at. Worth a visit to Oamaru just to see... More

Is it a gallery, a museum or just a curio shop? You decide. But where-ever you look there are eyes looking back at you. Quite daunting, but definitely somewhere to take stock and look at the extra-ordinary with a very funky, steampunk feel.

Summer is getting off to a late start here in Oamaru, but This artist owned and run gallery is a welcoming place to refuge from the south westerlies. Three flights of stairs take you from the stone and concrete of an old warehouse to a wooden floored, spacious treasure trove. We enjoyed taking our time to really notice the paintings... More

This is the most interesting and nicest art gallery I have ever seen... the artist is in the room and happy if you ask her about her art. The collection in the room is just amazing, wonderful arranged and full of surprises. You will enjoy it!

Quirky, arty, very interesting - you could spend a lot of time looking around up there. Quite daunting stairs though if you're elderly or infirm
