People and Place Tours – the people, the land and their shared stories. Every place on earth has been transformed by its human stories. On People and Place Tours you will hear stories from a remote region of the planet - one which joined the human drama only very recently. Learn how the ideas, events and general madness of the wider world have influenced this small, secluded place in the southern Pacific Ocean and, in turn, how the people of Nelson / Tasman have had their impact on the wider world (you will probably be surprised by how much). You’ll travel in a comfortable van in a small group (max. 4 people). The trip lasts about 4 hours which includes a half hour stop for a coffee and / or a wander around the craft shops of the seaside village of Mapua.

Thanks for such a great review - I really enjoyed the trip. One of the great things about these tours is that I seem to learn as much from the customers as they do from me! Cheers, Andrew

Andrew is a great host with a wide range of local knowledge. His tour gives a good overview of the Tasman Bay region and he provides a great commentary on the post- European colonial history of Nelson and Tasman Bay.
