A lovely building looking over the CBD. A short stroll on a warm afternoon up the welcoming stairs. Inside is absolutely beautiful and it had the feeling of quiet, calm and serenity just as churches have. The stained glass windows were striking as they captured...More

This Cathedral is set in lovely grounds and you can enjoy the walking the labyrinth inside at the back left hand side for a quiet reflective moment, and burn a candle at the prayer alter

This is a beautiful church, the interior is stunning as is the stained glass windows. There are quite a few steps to climb but worth the effort.

It is so sad to see this beautiful building in partial ruins. It is held together with a steel exoskeleton with a gaping hole in the roof and birds flying in and out. If you saw it pre-earthquake you will be amazed at the change....More

A lot of steps to the cathedral but it is a spectacular building and worth a visit. We did it one evening and there were a surprising numbers of tourists around.

It's just nearby the city central, very easy to approach. The atmosphere in Church is quiet and holy, but it's pity that I missed the rehearsal when I arrived.
