Visited Craggy Range after checking out online reviews. The scenery here is second to none. A very impressive start with the sommelier confidently explaining the region, history etc behind the winery. We're not big drinkers but enjoyed the tastings. Lunch is what we came for and we weren't disappointed. Started with the mushrooms for entree and they were tasty. We... More

My partner and I travelled to NZ over the last weekend and had a chance to visit the Craggy Range Winery it was exceptional. The young American women who led our tasting was very knowledgeable about the wine produced, soils and climate. All of our party of 5 people were very impressed with her professionalism. Well done!

The food was average, however not one dish danced with flavour in the mouth. When spending this much money we want something a little special. The maitre de made no effort to engage.... in fact he did not even ask if we enjoyed the meal, he seemed more interested in getting us to leave, so he could close up, and... More

My partner and family had the pleasure to stay in a cabin for the night at this amazing winery. The two bedroom fully self contained cabin was beautiful with cozy fire place and double on suite, the staff were so accommodating and friendly, the surrounding scenery spectacular and the food with matched wine to die for. Would highly recommend to... More

Visited for lunch with two other couples. WOW - great location, great service and superb dining and wines. Sommelier was very helpful and waiters/waitresses well trained. Food was excellent - the venison, fish of the day, and steak were all given the thumbs up by the diners. Excellent choice of wines to enhance our dining.

What a beautiful modern winery .The scenery outside of the winery from the Mountain Peak to the Gardens is outstanding and covers a fair area of walking.Internally the tasting area is wonderful but you can also arrange to taste for a small fee and have these glasses delivered outside to a covered table area. A winery to die for

Staff most certainly know their wines. Nothing was too much for them and showed enthusiasm the whole visit.

The most beautiful setting of all the wineries we went to. The restaurant is quite nice with a lively outside seating area and a cozy fireplace inside. The food was quite this too, though pricey - 35$ about for each main. But worth the view of the lake, mountains and Vineyard.

Fantastic views, solid red wines and a wonderful meal. I had been away for 5 years and was surprised to see the restaurant had gone from great to excellent. Wonderful and unique selections. We spent a very enjoyed 2 hours. Great service. We prefer it to Elephant Hill for a wine and food stop.
