This magnificent winery set amidst horse stables and vineyards was an enjoyable surprise as part of our winery tour of Hawke's Bay. The people here were very friendly and the entire experience was beautifully relaxed as we enjoyed hearing the story of the winery and sampling some of the delicious wines. The ice cream here is also a delicious treat

After hitting a few other wineries on this circuit, i found Ngatarawa the most cosy and family oriented. The young girl who provided the samples was in no rush to push us through the sampling process, which really made the whole experience that much more pleasant. It was a great ending to our wine tasting for the day. Had we... More

The sunny day added to the attraction of this place. We packed a picnic (from the Farmers Market) and headed out here. A great host with the wine tasting. Very accommodating. We purchased great wine, and bought a bottle of cold sav, they were happy to lend us glasses while we sat in the sun, enjoyed the surroundings and the... More

Building beautifully restored and a full range of wines available to sample. Excellent prices, including a great special if you buy 3 bottles. Attentive staff and overall a very pleasant experience

We went here for wine tasting - were thrilled to hear it was free even with no purchase and had a very knowledgeable Argentinian explaining the wines to us. Tasted about 8 of them and then bought some to take home!

This was one of the few cellar doors that did charge a tasting fee. The lady really gave an indulgent wine tasting experience. Some great wines at great prices!

We visited Ngatarawa on a perfect Hawkes Bay afternoon. The entrance to the winery up the long tree lined drive was very impressive. The winery tasting room is set in an historic stables and is very cool. The staff were super friendly and helpful (and even complimented my wife on the new wallet I bought her for Christmas, which earned... More

This was the 4th winery we visited in Napier today and we arrived as a large group had just started their tasting. We were asked to wait until they were finished so we could have a separate, quieter tasting-which we more than happily obliged. Approx 15 minutes later, the group left and the man running the tastings was very apologetic... More

We really enjoyed our visit to this winery, the third of four on a winery tour. It is housed in a former stable. Some of their wines bear the Stables brand name in local grocery stores. The wine tasting was very enjoyable and we had a snack afterwards in their olive grove.

Thank Jennifer M
