The trail through the gorge is a beautiful hike, it takes you through the water runs and dry rock beds. Multiple warning signs for saltwater crocodiles can be seen around the river beds and swimming holes throughout the trail. The hike to Gunlom falls is about a half hour or 45 minutes.

This was a highlight for us. We got there early and played in the bubbling pools above the gorge for hours.

An easy hike along the gorge through tropical vegetation is rewarded at the large rock pool with waterfall. Plenty of space For a swim if you wish, or just enjoy the view. The adventurous can climb to the top if desired. Informative guide and adequate snacks. Bus was air conditioned but some tracks are a bit rough through the suspension.

The walk to get to the gorge is really cool, the colour of the water in the creek on the way in almost doesn't look real it's so turquoise. I was nervous about actually swimming in the gorge because you can's really see through the water and even though the rangers take all the crocs out in the dry season... More

For those that want to limit the amount of dirt road driving this is only 10km. There is however a rocky creek bed in the middle that might stop low clearance vehicles. A standard 2wd station wagon would not make it. C The walk in was pleasant and the palm Forrest was well worth seeing. The walk in will require... More

Maguk would be a highlight of my visit to Kakadu. Besides the beautiful bottom pool, you can climb to the pools above the waterfall. My pictures say it all. Clearest water, and not too much of a shock to get into. But if a walk over rocks but worth it.

A little longer walk, nice swim spot, was advised you can walk up the back of it and sit at the top of the falls, we missed where to start climbing up before we got the swim spot, next time :)

Lovely large plunge pool located reasonably close to the main highway road (short unsealed road from turnoff) and only a short walk on an easy track that most could manage. Quite popular but worth a visit.

Great swimming spot when we visit visited during the dry season. Plunge pool is divine. Swim across to other side and sit up on rocks or refresh yourself under the waterfall. Few spots to jump off higher rocks but be careful, very slippery. Saw people swimming up top of falls. There is a walking trail but didn't try but probably... More

Fantastic walk into the gorge. Challenging in places with uneven rocks and slippery water crossings, but well worth the effort. Great swimming at the end of the gorge.
