Your Sounds of Silence experience begins with canapes and chilled sparkling wine served on a viewing platform overlooking the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Watch as the sun sets over Uluru and feel the immense quiet carried on the breeze over this ancient inland sea.

As darkness falls, listen to the haunting sound of a didgeridoo and wander down to join your table for an unforgettable introduction to Aboriginal culture through traditional dance followed by a bush tucker inspired buffet dining experience under the desert night sky, with only the distant domes of Kata Tjuta and red sand for walls.

Sit back and relax while you enjoy your first course. Our attentive staff will keep your glass topped up with quality Australian wine and beer so you will want for nothing while you absorb your unique surroundings and meet your fellow table guests.

As the night sky twinkles to life, help yourself to an outback buffet that incorporates native bush ingredients such as crocodile, kangaroo, barramundi and quandong. There are salads, barbecued meats and vegetables, as well as a luscious dessert course served with Australian tawny port.

After dinner, settle back and listen to our resident star talker decode the southern night sky. Locate the Southern Cross, the signs of the zodiac, the Milky Way, as well as planets and galaxies that are visible due to the exceptional clarity of the atmosphere.

Enjoy a steaming hot cup of tea or coffee before you head back to the resort.

The evening began with champagne and canapes served while watching sunset over Uluru. We were then treated to an indigenous peoples’ performance as the sun set. We walked to the dinner location to find elegantly decorated tables and a gentleman playing the digeridoo. We were provided with a buffet consisting of crocodile, emu, and kangaroo with unlimited wine. We then... More

Wow! This was an amazing experience from start to finish. An expensive experience, but for those who can stretch their budget to include the Sound of Silence dinner and the Field of Lights visit (while it is around) should definitely do so! The whole tour was very well organised, from hotel pick-up, to champagne and canapes at sunset, to the... More

Great way to spend the end of a day and all nicely pulled together by the tour operator and their drivers/guides. We got to the. Viewing area and there were drinks and canaries to have whilst we were getting cameras out, and what an experience as the sun set over Uluru. One most definately for the bucket list

Enjoyed the night which commenced with transfers to our point where you have canopies and drinks viewing Uluru in the background. Then you are made to walk a short distance to where our dining experience begins. Tables are made up to 10 people. The night is explained to you, and then entree is served which was a beautiful tasting soup.... More

Every aspect of the Sounds of Silence was thoroughly enjoyable. The pick up and transfer worked well, the short uphill walk to the sunset viewing platform was easy enough; the weather turned on a brilliant sunset over Kata Tjuta. A simple walk to the dinner tables was well organised and as we were only a couple, the process of selecting... More

My wife and I took the Sounds of Silence tour and am sure some guests enjoyed it; perhaps it was just the time of the year that ruined it for us. It was brutally hot and the flies are very pesky, even when they serve the food, the flies are all over the platters. It was just not enjoyable for... More

While you do spend a lot of money there are a number of things included in the experience. After our transfer we enjoyed champagne and canapés while listening to a didgeridoo player and watching the sunset over Uluru. There were so many options for the main course and desserts were lovely. The highlight was the astronomy talk and we were... More

Great evening. Enjoyed the sunset. Food and wait staff were excellent. The highlight is when all lights go out, the stars you see are unbelievable, can not even put it in words. Star talker was great. Do bring bug spray and fly net!

I was prepared for bugs having read reviews of this activity so use the insect repellant. A short trip with a bus load of about 60 people to the venue. We started on top of a sand dune with a glass of wine and could see Uluru and kata tjuta in the distance on either side. The cultural experience I... More
