We took a morning walk everyday and the boardwalk made it so much more enjoyable. It’s a gorgeous walk that gives uninterrupted views of the Whitsundays. It’s an easy walk, scatters, kids or prams. You can make it as long or as short as you like.

What an asset this walkway is for Airlie Beach. We walked it nearly every day and enjoyed spectacular views. It’s wide enough for two way traffic, and the newest section at Turtle Beach is fabulous. Lots of cafes and interesting stopping points along the way.

We travelled on this Bi-Centenary walk with electric scooters, what a hoot! Pathways were wider enough for everyone incl. bikes and segways.

We set off about 11 from Airlie Beach for a stroll to Cannonvale, just a half hour stroll along the boardwalk. Oh my, we did it in winter and we were quite footsore by the time we had walked back the other way. Make sure you go earlier or later, the advantage of going earlier is that the Fat Frog Cafe will be open and that is excellent.
The walk is well maintained - we passed council workers applying creosote (or similar) to the wood. It also follows the sea so you get some wonderful views

The entire walk from Airlie Beach lagoon to Cannonvale Beach is very well-demarcated, paved, and has water bubblers all along the way. The walk is suitable for everyone and has the best views Airlie Beach can offer. I would definitely recommend this walk early in the morning or in the evening, if you want to capture the sunrise or sunset's colors. Please be aware that the humidity can be overbearing so carry a bottle and fill it up whenever you see a bubbler!

I stayed in Airlie Beach for over a month in July 2021. I did this walk many times. There is so much beautiful scenery along this walk including little beaches and boardwalks and little laneways and the two marinas. There is a lovely vibe in the mornings walking past the marinas seeing everyone heading off on their day tours / trips. A few lovely coffee shops along the way too including Bohemia Raw and Rainbow Cafe. Followed by Fat Frog at the end of the walk. I tried them all several times each for coffee or breakfast and tIhey were all great and a nice treat after the walk. I couldn't keep the smile off my face every time I did the walk. I never got fed up with the same walk. It truly is beautiful and a fantastic part of Australia.

Loved this walk along the coastline of Airlie Beach to Cannonvale - so scenic, beautiful pathway, coffee shops and eateries along the way if required. A must do on your visit to Airlie Beach.

We hired some scooter and did the walk that way. The views as you get out of Airlie Beach are incredible and it has a very Mediterranean feel.

Well done Whitsunday Regional Council for maintaining this walk!
