We visited the Gardens during the Leura Garden Festival in the first week of October. The courtyard garden at the back of the house was set up to serve afternoon teas which was a welcome respite after wandering round the extensive, mature gardens which even includes a waterfall and a grotto. The art deco styled house is open to the... More

This is a must do if you are in Leura.. Stunning views & gardens. A coffee shop (volunteers), lovely cakes etc. Usually has a exhibition on in the gallery. Lots of photo opportunities.

The house is an interesting insight into the Art Deco / Art Noveau era. I certainly enjoyed having a look into 'another time'. But the gardens intrigued me from the outset. They are a delight to wander, even in the middle of winter. There is clever use of formal tarraces to adjust to the slope. But plenty of less formal... More

Such a beautiful place upkeep is amazing. Everything is done by volunteers! Amazing :) it's a must see. Take some time away from technology and relax and even chill out here. The staff are wonderful.

A modest entrance fee is payable to the National Trust when you visit 'Everglades' but well worth it. All the staff and volunteers we met were absolutely delightful and clearly loved showing this wonderful place off to visitors. There is a fascinating history to this Art Deco 1930's house, whose gardens were designed by a Danish landscaper and are a... More

This is well worth the visit and take the time to go to all areas in the gardens. Amazing the effort that has been put into this garden.

Apart from being semi-regular visitors to the gardens, depending on the season, my wife and I were married at Everglades. Originally we planned an outdoor ceremony at the lookout end of the big lawn near the fountain, but on the day we had to go to Plan B due to heavy rain falling in the morning - an indoor ceremony... We spent 3 lovely hours roaming around Everglades enjoying the landscape gardening, the wonderful house, the converted squash court Art Gallery, the views, the food at the cafe, the wonderful history and the ambience of the total experience. We wouldn't take small children there due to some substantial drops over the edge of the escarpment, but that would be the... More
