Queensland Air Museum acquires, restores and maintains a collection of 75+ historically significant aircraft and related aviation displays at a 2 hectare site opposite the Caloundra Airport on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. The display has gown from just one aircraft in 1973, a Canberra Bomber to now more than 75 aircraft including a F-111, Mirage Jet, Australia's oldest DC-3. Detailed information can be sourced via the 'Our Collection; tab on the QAM web-site We open to the public every day (except Christmas Day), run major events each 3 months, operate Historic Aviation tours for groups of 12 or more (book via the web-site or call and we are available for Corporate events by arrangement, Photo shoots and other events.

Loved the exhibition. i am into aviation so this was hopeful. was impressed and the displays were excellent. a few things could make it better (cafe for one) but it was terrific

Even for someone not so interested in aeroplanes this museum blew me away Amazing exhibits Would love to be there on an open cockpit day Displays of all kinds of planes Young kids would love this as well as older peopleThe people who volunteer there...More

Can’t say I know much about planes, but went there with my husband and 2 kids (age 8 & 12) and saw some excellent aircraft from fighters like the F-111 to choppers like the Huey, learned a lot from the staff - who are all...More

Do yourself a favour and take time to check out this great museum. It has an impressive range of planes, helicopters and memorabilia. Well worth the visit thanks to the dedicated members.

My grandchildren loved the air museum. Spent quite a few hours and there is hands on in some of the small planes the work is all done by volunteers. Well done everyone who volunteers at the museum

This experience was enjoyed by an extended family aged from 2 to 66 years and although some were hesitant about attending all had positive comments afterwards. The history, displays and variety catered for all of the family.

Spent a few delightful hours combing around old planes. The audio visual in the Caribou body was a great experience. Saw some planes I never knew existed.
