I love history museums. Doesn't matter what type, they just give me a feeling of appreciation. Since moving to gympie, I have never felt so home as I do here. My anxiety has almost diminished. I learnt that gympie gold rush actually saved queensland in...More

What a great little adventure. We had no idea it would prove to be so interesting. There is quite a lot to see, and it takes you back to the days of the early miners, so is of great historical interest.

Such a great experience and incredible value for money. So much to see and learn. Full credit to the team of volunteers who make this place happen. It's a must see if you are passing through Gympie. Give it your support.

Great museum full of old houses which shows the Queensland buildings from jails to schoolhouses. Inside every house is filled with so much- ww1, shell collection, restored vehicles- you name it its there. Run by volunteers and so well looked after. Loved it

Very interesting place. So much to see. Well worth looking at if you're in Gympie. It's a big place but easy to walk around and the displays are organised. We liked it very much.

My family were very early settlers in Gympie and my maternal great grandparents as well as my maternal grandfather were miners in the South Glanmire & Monkland Mines, so I had a keen interest in what was on display. There are also numerous old buildings...More

We went to the Gympie Mining Museum today and the visit started very nicely with a walk from the carpark near Lake Alford. This spot is delightful with all manner of birds accosting the visitors for food and judging by their size, they are quite...More
