Enjoyed the trip because this was the only time we could be so close to penguins! Caught a few walking just 5cm away from us on the path when they were heading back home. Friendly guide who answered all the queries. However, no photographs are...More

A must do on your holiday. Guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Penguins are adorable and walk right up and through your lefs. Got to see chicks as well as adults. Two penguins walked between my husband's legs and another pecked at his shoe. A lot...More

Too many people in each group, if you’re not pushy or impolite you won’t see much. The guide didn’t really guide and unless you stuck close to her you couldn’t hear a thing. Seems like they take their guests for granted. A bit of care...More

It was so nice to be able to get to be up close to the penguins. There were at least 30 or more that we saw. We got to see them walking up the beach and then up the hill to their burrows. There were...More

We booked this tour and I was initially a bit apprehensive about going, but it could not have been better. We were efficiently "checked-in" and the bus drove us to the location where our guide met us before taking us on the tour. This was...More

Wow, this was an unbelievable experience. Unmissable during a trip to the East Coast of Tasmania. The staff were passionate, knowledgable and lovely. We saw an abundance of wild blue penguins and even newborn baby chicks in their nesting box. The penguins come right up...More

Having seen penguins at Phillip Island, had expected much the same. SO WRONG! The tour was much more personable. The guides (all very passionate and genuine volunteers) delivered information about the penguins while the penguins walked up from the sea. So many beautiful, cute penguins,...More

A wonderful experience, my kids loved it and so did I. They have created a first class experience, allowing visitors to get right up close to the penguins, while keeping things simple so as to disturb the penguins and their habitat as little as possible.

Was a great night where you spend an hour looking around a penguin rookery. Plenty of penguins to look at and you get to see them in their nests as well as waddling up from the waters edge. Saw at least a half dozen chicks...More

Yes. You had better call them. The penguins, I believe are 'viewable' all year round. At night they walk into Bicheno too.

Depends on the time of the season- it normally is fully booked out in "peak season". Better safe than sorry!
