On your frantic drive from the Ferry Terminal at Devonport to the metropolis of Launceston do not drive past Deloraine. 2nd time here and could sit and look at the Yarns Artwork in Silk all day, you keep seeing different things and amazing pieces of work well done to all the community truly original and the staff who run Visitor Centre are lovely and Deloraine is a lovely town as well.

Local information, and detailed help about things to experience in the region. Worth visiting for up to date information on opening hours of local attractions and also temporary closures. (eg Liffey Falls access road closed, Mole Creek Caves closed)

The Visitors Centre was most helpful, taking time to tell us approximate traveling times, booking tickets and finding us some fabulous accommodation further down the track

The staff were very helpful and friendly and it was nice and warm inside. There is a history museum attached to the Visitors' Centre which you can visit in the same admission price as the Silk Tapestries exhibition. Both are well worth seeing.
