It was well worth the climb and effort to get to the top and then get to look down over the town, this really puts into perspective the beauty of Port Campbell. Definitely not for people with disabilities due to the energy required.

The Great Ocean Road leads to the highlight "The 12 Apostles" and other landmarks strewn along this stretch. Check out the huge waves at beach levels and overviews, hear the thunderous sounds of waves against the formations. Great view and even better in photos.

The 12 Rock Cafe has great view of the harbour, try the crab & prawn fritters. Good lunch or dinner close to the 12 Apostles.

Because the river was quite high, I chose to go the 'long way' to the start, by road, but this only adds on 25 minutes from the hostel or other central places in Port Campbell. (Or you can drive to one of the carparks at...More

Further to Mark's review: you can easily access the town end entrance to the walk from a small car park overlooking Port Campbell. A very short walk on a well formed trail and down a short series of steps and you're onto the Discovery Walk....More
