It’s a great little eclectic venue on Chapel Street. Looks and feels cosy, especially the seating around the fire, comfortable booth seating indoors and smoking areas provided. Friendly staff - would check it out if you’re in the area.

Terrible pizza, prepare packet stuff. Staff all illegal/underpaid. Overcrowded on weekends. Dead otherwise. Owned by the same group that own half of chapel street bars...boring. dame drinks everywhere, Cool decor that's about it.

We popped in for a couple of drinks late in the day and were mesmerized by the fitout of Holy Grail. Worthwhile popping in just to see how eclectic it is!

An excellent set up for a 21st birthday party. The bar was central to the private function area as well as the public bar at the front. The decor is interesting. Beautiful pressed metal ceilings and old fashioned lamps etc. Good bar service. The booths...More

This place feels odd, only for the decor which seems incidental or irrelevant. Otherwise it is friendly, efficient, has some nice beers and ciders on tap and the music doesn't try to compete with conversation. Great place for a pre-dinner drink. But do venture out...More

Recently visited this bar whilst in Melbourne on business. We wanted to get out of the city and try a couple of venues in Chapel St. We came across Holy Grail. The decor is interesting and I think the term "Rustic" is the best descriptor....More

Friendly pub. Pizzas just $5.50 in happy hour, beer is a good price too, but be sure to count your change. Comfortable seating in the street and inside.

As already mentioned, the Holy Grail does have an ecceletic look and feel amd that adds to the charm. Friendly staff and a pleasing range of drinks and food. I love the way bars here open the windows on to the street!

We wouldn't resist trying the $5 pizza. This happy hour is on everyday, all day. The pizza was small but tasty. Exactly what you'd expect for $5.

On a street where the competition between drinking spots must be fierce, Holy Grail does offer something a little different. The eclectic décor is really their best selling point with fun features on every wall and corner. Patrons can choose to sit in cosy little...More
