We walked the five miles from the cruise port to the beach and five miles back via the paved walks and paths provided. It was do-able for a senior couple because of the easy slopes and lots of shade. And the views along the path...More

Large, nice white sand, good waves, but too much sea weed on the beach that should be cleaned up. Not crowded, but be aware that it is very popular with dog walkers. Great facilities at the Western end of the beach - cafes, pub, toilets,...More

If you enjoy beach walks and shell collecting this is perfect. After every storm there are always shells washed up on the shore

This beach has very clear water, a safe swimming zone, good parking, a couple of places to eat and a long stretch of beach to walk, run, look for shells etc. They also have an interesting boardwalk with plaques describing Charles Darwin's visit to that...More

The Ellen Cove Broadwalk follows the coastline from Middleton Beach all the way into the Albany Port in town. Access by foot or by bicycle is reasonably good. It's roughly 6km.
