Good place to visit for a quick look and it is cheap to get in. Not a lot of reading mainly just look around at the old cells.

We love looking back in time and how things used to be. Had a great chat with the staff, they knew a lot too. Walking around the museum there were a few surprises. Lots of fun!
Hoping to do the Ghost Tour but there were not enough guests. Daytime tour of this almost original old building was interesting with great intro talk from guide. Exhibits are well explained - some a little a quirky.
There are 31 rooms to explore. This museum gives you a taste of Albany's criminal past and lets you see how justice was administered in the 19th century.
what a enjoyably & interesting place to visit. We were visiting our Grand daughter & she suggested us going. It is a must to go to when in Albany
