The sun was shining, the skiing rails were well done. Already for three days it has been possible to ski around the lake in the sun, enjoy fresh air. On Sunday the ice was full of smiling people of all ages. Some had taken coffee with them, some fried sausages, but most of us just enjoyed open air, sun, smiling... More

Aulanko is known all over Finland. In a nutshell, Aulanko is a big park, and a hotel in the park, near the city centre of Hämeenlinna. For most, the main reason for visiting Aulanko is the park. It is an English landscape park, complete with ponds, ruins, and an impressive lookout tower in National Romantic style. All these were built... More

Nice park to explore with interesting sites. My favourite was a view spot overlooking lakes n forests near the viewing tower. A pity the cafe beside the tower was closed for winter.

I visited Aulanko Tower for the first time. The tower itself looks really nice both outside and inside. There is a sightseeing platform by the tower but the best views can be seen from the tower. The climb takes awhile but it's worth it. There is no fee to the tower. By the tower there is also a small cafe

Aulanko is absolutely lovely area and only short drive away from City Center. Golf Courses, Adventure Park for kids, horses, hotel/spa, cabins for rent, cafés etc. are all there. Grab some drinks and snacks with you and wander along guided paths, take a little swim or have some sun on the beach and then climb on top of old Sightseeing... More

Aulanko area is very beautiful and peaceful place to visit. It offers great views! Ideal place for walk, cycling, hiking, running,... For spending longer time is possible to use the hotel which is in the middle of the area.

Aulanko is a place if you want to have a great walk, see astonishing nature and breath the fresh air, doesn't matter at what time of the year. Has a lovely tower from which you can observe a beautiful lake.

Not only the nature, but with romantic ruins and pavilions by the lakes this place really has a history. Don't forget the tower, the view is worth of climbing. Great place for golf and geocaching too.

Aulanko park is very close to Hämeenlinna center and railwaystation - its provides possibility for short nature hike in an old arboretum park, with ponds and pavilions. It also has an old observation tower - with good view over the lakes - considered to be one of the most beautiful views in Finland. Old forest is beautiful all year round... More
