When you are in love with the famous Portuguese Azulejos you have to visit this beautiful church. The entrance fee is 2€.

The church of S.Lourenco Almancil is a magnificent example of the azulejo-clad facade Extraordinary example of Portuguese azulejos (traditional blue and white tiles) cover the whole church inside !!

We didn't go inside but marvelled upon this churches beautiful both day and night , our villa was near and the bells could be heard , so very nice and relaxing and lit up at night , well worth a walk about to find this...More

Ditto previous answers re candles and lunch time closure. I think it remains closed on Monday morning also.
