I travelled here from Monastir by metro. First problem is train station signs are in Arabic. Second is that when you get off the metro, there is no sign into town. When you walk to the town, there is no sign to Lamta. I gave...More

It was just like helping dig amonst the ruins - you are allowed to walk on the rosemary bordered pathways down to the beach, amongst the pots ,statues ,mosaiques , waiting to be catalogued .Their trust is amazing as I was sorely tempted to touch...More

Just 14km south of Monastir on the coastal road, you will pass Lamta Museum, just before you enter the village of Lamta itself. The museum extends right down to the waters edge. Entry is 5dt and it is open 9-1pm & 4-7pm, closed on Mondays....More
