Always great to visit a Winery operated and run by the owner. Jeoff with his professional approach and his cheerful and pleasant personality gave us an intimate experience into the world and passion of a local wine maker. We spent a very good moment in his company. Excellent value for money and it's only a few kms from Gisborne. Would... More

We really enjoyed the wine tasting at this venue. The Pinot Gris and the late harvest Semillon were the standout wines for us. We purchased the Semillon. All of the wines were paired with a vegetarian platter, which we requested given that we are vegetarians. They were then followed by a fabulous rustic vege pizza. We were very grateful that... More

Stopped in here on the way from Gisborne to Napier & was greeted with a friendly smile from Ashley who served us a delicious Farmers Market Vegetarian Pizza ($18) non-alcoholic wine spritzer ($4) & we bought a few bottles of their amazing organic wine to take home after a taster. Totally impressed with the sustainability ethos of this vineyard!

Spent the afternoon enjoying home made pizza and sampling wine while the kids played with one of the owners boys in the garden. Very relaxed environment with good quality food and wine, will defiantly be back to enjoy the live music in the summer months.

Our recent visit to Gisborne and a tour of the Wights Vineyard & Winery at Manutuke was truely amazing. The owners Jeff & Nicola Wight showed their passion in making amazing and great tasting Organic Wines, with a tasting in the cellar followed by a stroll in the vineyard to see some of the oldest grape vines in Gisborne. They... More

We ordered a platter and 3 tasting wines each. The platter was a wonderful mix of cold meats, olives, and home made spreads accompanied by crackers and toasted ciabatta. Just perfect. The tasting wines were a bargain for $5 with generous 'tasting' servings! Topped off by a wonderful location and friendly owners! My only comment would be to drink wine... More

On a recent cruise, we had the opportunity to visit Wrights Vineyard & Winery near Gisborne, NZ. Geoff Wright and two of his sons met us at the pier, where we boarded a bus for a short look around the Gisborne area before heading to the winery. There we were met by Geoff's wife Nicola and two more sons. We... More

We visited the winery for a light lunch on Sunday. Beautiful Palin's along with other snacks. Mum in kitchen preparing the food, Dad serving - with the help of 4 young sons who were delightful and entertaining! Enjoyed the pinot grigio we had with our lunch but as flying out the next day were not able to buy further bottles.
