The views from this hike are spectacular - but you really have to work to get them! I'm not in the best of shape and I was really taking my time. Of our party of 4, only my 18 year old made it to the...More

My husband and I hiked this on our honeymoon trip. We lucked out and had great weather. It was an amazing hike! We are pretty fit so it took us about an hour to get to the top. Be sure to bring water as it's...More

What a beautiful hike! But I wish I had read the reviews on here a little more thoroughly before we started. The trail is uphill from the start, and doesn't have many flat areas. It took us around an hour and a half to reach...More

Steep on the way up at times, other times a little more gentle. Definitely worth the uphill for the views. Get there early to beat the clouds that set in later in the morning. There's a picnic table at the top and a nice area...More

We were actually looking for the Makamakaole Falls, but had trouble finding mile maker 8. We ended up doing the trail on a whim. You can spot the falls about ⅓ the way through but it is retry far away. The trail is rated moderate,...More

We read a lot of reviews about muddiness, but were fortunate to find that only a small part of the beginning of the trail was muddy for us. At the 1/3 way point is a little bench to sit and enjoy the great view of...More

We went to hike the trail this morning and found it was closed for maintenance until April 7th. We will try again after the 7th. Best to go before or at 8a and remember trail turn is across from the horse farm.

Beautiful hike. Strenuous start and really muddy early on...but evens out and the mud goes away as you get higher. Incredible views all the way up of the valleys in between the hills and the coastline. View from the top is incredible. Little longer than...More

We loved this trail! Outstanding views and varied terrain with lots of sun and some shade. There are great reviews on here and we benefited from the time people took to describe the trail and add tips. I did notice that the descriptions of degree...More

Today is March 8 - does anyone know if the trail is open or closed or who to ask for a concrete answer? I know it was open last week but heard it was closing again. Thanks
