Working in Coincide with a museum, I have learned about the beautiful and unique culture of the Metis and the even greater history this people boasts. I was so excited to see Metis Crossing but was so disappointed The museum only showcased 10 paragraphs of information which doesn't give their history justice. The historic village was all locked up, No... More

The Metis Crossing site near Smoky Lake opened a Zipline ride to great fanfare and customer reviews several years ago. Since then, this attraction, operated by the Metis Nation of Alberta, has fallen on hard times. I was a little aprehensive as there was not much info about the zip line on line and when you get there it's pretty rustic. We took our two kids (ages 10 and 13) on the zipline tour and we all loved it! It was a fantastic experience with beautiful views to enjoy. The staff was incredible, friendly, and made the experience very enjoyable. Excellent price for a fun family adventure. I recommend it to all my friends with kids--young or old!
